IT Security Analyst

IT Security Analyst 1 Position
Position ID: 20200124-ITSS-1

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years directly related work experience in network, security administration\ engineering.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems including Windows 2016, Windows 2012, Windows 2008, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and UNIX.
  • Working knowledge of network security, Juniper firewalls, SonicWALL, Checkpoint firewalls Cisco ASA, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, and networking protocols including VPN, SMTP, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and SNMP.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies.
  • Ability to work in and constructively contribute to team work environment and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and follow through including the ability to document work.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information is essential.
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • Microsoft MTA, Security Fundamentals
    • CompTIA Security+

Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and corrects network problems remotely and on-site.
  • Pre-configures and maintains of centralized authentication systems such as two factor authentication / Active Directory/ Open LDAP systems.
  • Pre-configures and maintains VPN systems.
  •  Pre-configures and maintains firewall and intrusion detection systems.
  • Pre-configures and maintains IP load balancing, spam filtering systems.
  • Pre-configures and maintains Enterprise Antivirus systems and other software/hardware as necessary.
  • Troubleshoots Windows and UNIX permission and other related issues.
  • Updates and maintains customer’s Information security system topology and other documents as needed.
  • Monitors security system logs (i.e. intrusion detection system, firewall system logs, VPN, DNSSEC, etc.) and reports on discovered anomalies or problems (i.e. insufficient disk space, inappropriate access patterns) on a daily basis.
  • Tests new computer/router/switch/new technology/hardware and software solutions prior to implementation.
  • Administers and configures Windows and Unix-based systems, as needed.
  •  Assists with network and web security assessments for potential business partners.
  • Assists with network troubleshooting and isolate network problems.
  • Keeps fully abreast of trends and changing technologies as they relate to IT and Network Engineering and Information Security fields. Engages in continuous process improvement. Performs other related duties as may be required.

IT Security Engineer

IT Security Engineer 1 Position

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years directly related work experience in network, security administration and engineering.
  • Experience in enterprise security architecture
  • Experience in enterprise security document creation
  • Working knowledge of network security e.g. Juniper firewalls, SonicWALL, Checkpoint firewalls Cisco ASA, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, and networking protocols including other enterprise security systems.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, maintains and recommends for enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
  • Perform research, analysis, testing, and validation of any new information security technologies.Conduct vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and security monitoring.
  • Perform regularly scheduled software patching/updates, vulnerability scans/remediation, and other security mitigation activities for enterprise security systems.
  • Identify potential cyber security problems, trends, risks, weaknesses and recommends specific modifications and solutions to reduce information systems security risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Perform incident handling/ response, exploit analysis, tool deployment, and information security and intrusion analysis.
  • Manage and maintain firewalls, firewall rules, password management system, intrusion detection systems, system access permissions, server security settings, endpoint security, spam filtering and other enterprise security systems.
  • Assist with preparing reports and presentations for management including security findings, recommendations, penetration, and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies.
  • Assist with development and implementation of Security Awareness Training for entire organization.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of processes, procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Educate IT team members in security best practices.
  • Provide on-call security support during non-business hours.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

IT Service Desk Technician

IT Service Desk Technician 1 Position
Position ID: 20200124-SD-1

Qualifications

  • Ability to discern customers’ needs and troubleshoot accordingly.
  • Ability to communicate with customers’ in a professional manner.
  • Experience in repairing and configuring computer hardware and applications
  • Experience in repairing and configuring basic network hardware and applications
  • Willingness to learn about and research new hardware and applications in the IT field
  • Knowledge of how to make/repair physical layer/media networking equipment
  • Experience with driving a car and own a current drivers license.
  • Strong English reading, comprehension and writing skills.
  • Mid to Good spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Movaci projects assigned to the Service Desk department
  • Train and assist fellow staff with less experience
  • Monitor, answer and escalate tickets in ticket queues according to SLA agreements with customers and skill set of employee.
  • Perform LV 1 and LV 2 onsite technical support according to SLA agreements.
  • Provide remote support to customers who have an SLA agreement.
  • Provide technical support and training for all customers PC & Laptop units that arrive
  • Track, maintain, monitor and support Movaci office workstations and hardware
  • Perform bi-weekly Service Desk hardware inventory stock audits.
  • When authorized by Service Desk manager or Lead, assist the Administrative department with basic maintenance of company property.
  • When authorized by Service Desk manager or Lead; work with other Technical departments in Movaci on projects & tasks.

  • Coordinate service planning, delivery, and scheduling with other departments, customers, and vendors.
  • Perform vendor purchasing and coordination tasks as needed.
  • Process customer billing and payment receipting when necessary.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, production, and publishing of materials as needed.
  • Assist in preparation and production of sales related materials.
  • Maintain and track the store and special inventories and process storefront sales.
  • File and organize all of sales/purchasing paperwork related to Movaci and its customers.
  • Assist Sales Manager and Business Manager with related tasks.
